Name: New Latin American Film Festival
Description: This event has been one of Latin America's leading film festivals since its inception in 1978. It not only offers a retrospective of cinema from around the southern continent, it also offers a unique opportunity (in Cuba) to see films from all over the world. The Festival also includes the showing of some of the best European and U.S. independent films recently released. The films are screened in practically all the cinemas in the Vedado district, along with a few in surrounding neighborhoods. European Films Week

Name: European Films Week
Description: European films have always been popular in Havana' s movie theatres, however, during the European Films week, it is possible to see many of the year's latest releases, along with prizewinners from some of the most important international film festivals. Normally, the films are selected according to a particular theme and many of the ten to twenty films chosen each year come from Western Europe. Given their popularity, it can be hard to get tickets if you are trying to buy them with Cuban pesos, but it is possible to get in by paying a bit extra. In addition to the screenings, round-table discussion groups and lectures by Cuban researchers and invited artists are also offered. The event takes place in April.

Cubadisco International Fair

Name: Cubadisco International Fair
Description: The return of Cuban music to international events such as the Grammy Awards, fully justifies music fairs like Cubadisco, which has become a meeting place for international record companies, Cuban record producers and anyone else who wants to do business. Marabana

Marabana is held every year in November. This extremely popular race winds through the streets of Havana and is part of the calendar of the International Marathon Association. Professional. It was initially conceived as a tribute to Miguel Matamoros, perhaps one of the most famous Cuban singer-songwriters of all time. During the festival, plazas, theaters and nightclubs are filled with groups who play Cuban music. The event is not restricted to a given space, since musicians can choose any street, park or corner for improvising music, thus attracting dancers from all over. The festival is held every two years.
